Mobile Storage Association Announces
Transportation Workshop
St Louis, MO – November
23, 2004: : The Mobile
Self-Storage Association is pleased to announce
its Spring Workshop entitled DOT and Safety Compliance
for Mobile Storage Operators. The one-day workshop
will take place in Chicago on Tuesday, April 12.
“This workshop is in response to suggestions from our membership
we received at the Annual Mobile Self-Storage Conference and Tradeshow
held last November”, stated MS-SA Secretary Frank Amodio, of
Warehouse on Wheels. “Transportation is a unique component
of Mobile Self-Self Storage and with it comes reporting, operating,
and financial requirements that several of our members may be unaware
or not in compliance of.”
“Attendees will leave the workshop with a complete understanding
of the Department of Transportation’s requirements for operating
trucks”, added MS-SA President Randy Weissman, of Storage Banc.
Topics will be presented by industry experts and will include Controlled
Substance and Alcohol Testing, Commercial Driver’s License
Standards, Safety Fitness Procedures, Hours of Service, Driver Qualification
and Training, and Equipment Inspection and Maintenance and their
related Record Keeping requirements.
